Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram admitted that at least one company has been suspected for dubious investment through investments in Indian share markets.

The minister made the statement while replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha raised by Samajwadi MP Shahid Siddiqui regarding the dubious investments to fund terror activities.

"Recently, one case has come to our notice. It was suspected, let me repeat 'suspected', that this case may have some links with some persons who are under watch," he said.

However, Chidambaram did not reveal more details or the identity of the suspect.

He said, "This case is being investigated. But I am not in a position to give any detail of the case at this stage."
