The government today reacted cautiously to the Supreme Court verdict declaring as illegal compulsory use of narco-analysis test, saying it had to go through the judgement.

"Judiciary has given a judgement. We need to go through it... It is too early to react on that (judgement)," Law Minister M Veerappa Moily told reporters here.

He said the issue of narco-analysis has been "agitating" in the mind of the jurists and the judiciary and the issue has been a subject of national debate.

The Supreme Court today declared as "illegal" compulsory use of narco-analysis, brain-mapping and polygraph tests on suspects.
