"Human resource of the state has adequate capacity and potential to excel in the IT but the onus lies on the educationists to exploit this talent optimally," Minister for Public Health Engineering Mohammad Dilawar Mir said at a two-day seminar on Internet and safe computing that started here yesterday.

He also said there was need for creating sound IT infrastructure to channelise talent and energy of the youth in the state. The seminar, organised by CII in collaboration with department of Information Technology, Jammu and Kashmir, started yesterday.

Lauding CII for organising the seminar to sensitise the youth of the state about the relevance of IT in the present day life, the Minister sought CII's assistance in industry participation. He said the government would provide every possible support to CII in promoting IT in the state.
