The state government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd for promoting skills in the automobile sector. As per the pact, Toyota Kirloskar will be providing latest tools, equipments, paint booth, hi-tech welding machines, paint mixing machines and painting consumables for introduction of body automotive repair and paint automotive repair trades for one year under Toyota-Technical Education Programme (T-TEP), training to instructors as per latest methods of automotive collision repair and syllabi for the trades. The Toyota dealers will offer support to the students during 'on the job training' and also provide employment to T-TEP students. The MoU was signed between Hemant Sharma, director, department of technical education & training (DTET), Odisha and Sabari Manohar, deputy general manager (customer service group) of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd in the presence of C S Kumar, secretary (employment, technical education & training).
