Govt to arrange chartered flights for students

Maharashtra government will make available chartered aircraft to take students of Northeast back to educational institutions in Pune or Mumbai from Guwahati. Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan told a goodwill team from Arunachal Pradesh, led by MP Takan Sanjoy, yesterday that concessional chartered flights would be offered to students willing to go back. In a statement, Sanjoy quoted Chavan saying, "If state governments send written requisitions, officials will be ready to receive students at airports to escort them to their institutions with full security."
