Green colleges may come up in Rajasthan

Delhi-based India Institute of Ecology and Environment (IIEE) has shown interest in opening private environment colleges in Rajasthan.
 
The IIEE has also proposed to give Rs 50 crore to these colleges, which would be run by their trust.
 
Besides this, the basic infrastructure of the colleges including building campus, library, computer centre would also be established by the IIEE.
 
"We have received proposal from IIEE to open two environment colleges in the state. After studying the pros and cons of the proposal we will take a decision," a government official said.
 
Sources in the department informed that after getting the proposal from the organistion, senior state government has held discussion with the representatives of the institute.
