GSPC invites bids for 200 Mw wind power plant

Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) today invited tenders from wind power developers for setting up 200 Mw wind power project in the state.

"We have invited technical and financial bids on conception to testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance basis to set up a 200 Mw capacity wind power plant in the state," a top state government official said.

The location for the project has not been revealed so far.

The GSPC said that last date for submitting technical bids has been fixed on January 5, 2009 while pre-bid conference will be held on December 29.

However, date has not been fixed for opening financial bids.

 

"We will decide the date after evaluating and scrutinising technical bids," GSPC officials said.

However, it is learnt that the MoU in this regard will be signed during the Vibrant Gujarat Investors' Summit scheduled to he held on January 12-13.
