A large number of foreign participants""from importing and producing countries""were expected to support the convention. While importing countries like Germany, UK, Egypt and Pakistan would be present at the event, producing countries would be represented by Sri Lanka, Kenya and Bangladesh. |
Aditya Khaitan, chairman, Indian Tea Association, in his capacity as chairman of the Consultative Committee of Plantation Associations (CCPA), would deliver the Indian Panorama presentation followed by other key presentations from Nick Revett of Twining, Franz Thiele of Thiele & Freese, Percy Siganporia, managing director, Tata Tea, among others. The valedictory session on November 24 would be addressed by Union commerce & industry minister, Kamal Nath, chief minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi and minister for industry & power, Assam, Pradyut Bordoloi. The inaugural session on November 22 would be followed by five business sessions spread over November 23-24. |
