Haryana allots land to UIDAI at Manesar for Aadhar

The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has allotted five acres of land to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) at IMT Manesar for setting up of Central Identification Data Repository (CIDR) for its project Aadhaar.

The project would involve an investment of Rs 275 crore, out which Rs 160 crore would be incurred on the data centre infrastructure development and building and Rs 115 crore would be invested for other civil and miscellaneous works. The UIDAI envisions enrollment of 600 million people over the next four years that is by 2015. The total built up area would be more than two lakh square feet.

 

The project's goals include reducing leakage in government social expenditure through de-duplication of beneficiary lists, enabling financial inclusion and enabling direct delivery of benefits to the resident and the building for the green data centre shall be meeting Tier-III requirements as per Uptime Institute and be compliant to IMD's seismic zone- 5 requirements.
