Haryana approves funds for export infrastructure

To give a major flip to export-oriented units across Haryana, the State Level Export Promotion Committee (SLEPC) has approved 12 new projects worth Rs 36.8 crore for developing export infrastructure and other allied activities schemes.

These projects aim at developing the infrastructure of industrial areas where export-oriented units are located. The areas which would be benefited under these new projects include Karnal, Panipat, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh.

It was decided in the meeting of the SLEPC held here under Haryana Chief Secretary Urvashi Gulati. These projects include five more of PWD (B&R) Department in Karnal and Panipat districts, three of power department in Faridabad and Gurgaon, two of HUDA in Bahadurgarh and two of industries and commerce department in Panipat and Gurgaon having export content for availing grants under the scheme. The committee reviewed nine other such projects too.

 

Gulati also directed to give priority to the development works of industrial area Kundli especially to the power related works as benefits given to industrial sector accrue faster economic growth.
