The Haryana government has asked all those farmers, who have sold their paddy at Minimum Support Price (MSP) or at higher rates to 'Arhtis' and have not received the amount of bonus so far, to get the amount from the 'Arhtis' whom they have sold their paddy.

Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that this year the payment of bonus was being made through cheques and if they faced any difficulty in getting the amount of their bonus, they should immediately contact the secretary, Market Committee, Hafed, Agro, Haryana Warehousing Corporation, Confed, food and supplies department or the district administration.

It may be mentioned that the Centre had announced to give a bonus of Rs 50 per quintal on paddy over an above MSP during Kharif season-2009. MSP for common varieties of paddy was Rs 950 per quintal and for grade-A varieties of paddy it was Rs 980 per quintal.
