Haryana completes 7,300 hotel rooms for CWG

About 7,300 hotel rooms are ready in Haryana for the ensuing Commonwealth Games(CWG) .

According to Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon Rajender Kataria, who is also the nodal officer for the districts falling in NCR, the number of hotel rooms in Haryana is likely to increase up to 7,500 by the time the games commence.

According to a decision by the Government of India, tax concession would be extended to those hotels, which would be ready by July 31, 2010.

This concession would continue during the next five years. The tax concession would be given only to one-starred to four-star hotels.

Kataria said that one lakh tourists and sportspersons were expected to come during the Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi in October next..

 

He said that the list of the star-rated hotels and of those which were approved by the Union Ministry of Tourism would be uploaded on the websites of Commonwealth Games, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Tourism Department of Haryana and Haryana Government.
