Haryana govt to distribute subsidised soyabean oil through PDS

The Haryana Government would distribute subsidised refined soyabean oil through Public Distribution System (PDS) network to Below Poverty Line and Antyodaya Ann Yojna families.     

The consumer price of refined soyabean oil through PDS network will be Rs 66 per litre against market rate ranging between Rs 72-78 per litre, a spokesman of Food and Supplies Department said here today.     

Distribution of soyabean oil would depend on its availability/allocation, he said.     

The spokesman said that Nafed had been designated by the Central government to import packed soyabean oil and supply it to Haryana state.     

The subsidy would be limited to Rs 15 per litre, which would be given to Nafed directly by the Union Government, he said.     

 

He further said that Nafed would supply subsidises soyabean oil to Confed which would supply it to ration card holders in the state, with 100 metric tonne of soyabean oil having been allocated to Haryana by the Centre.
