Hassle free pension disbursal soon as CAG initiates digitisation of process

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has initiated a project to provide digital pension disbursal for all government employees within a month of their retirement, The Times of India reported.

The digital service and disbursal will soon be available in at least 21 states and Union Territories.

“End-to-end digital solution, a new initiative has been taken up to receive and process pension/pension revision cases online," a CAG official told ToI.

Kerala has already become the first state to successfully implement the digital pension disbursal project. The records from various government departments are received online and the pension order
