The Bombay High Court today adjourned the hearing of a petition filed by the scrapped IPL franchisee Rajasthan Royals against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to Friday.

The Rajasthan Royals has moved the court against termination of their IPL contract by the BCCI.

During the hearing, Royals' lawyer Harish Salve said that its client needed certain interim relief such as a stay to the termination, permission to sell brand related merchandise and to continue the players' contracts with the team, etc.

However, no order was passed today as the BCCI lawyer sought time to file a reply.

Earlier, the BCCI lawyer had assured the court that auction of players for the next IPL would not take place till the end of December.

The BCCI, which owns the high-profile T-20 League, had terminated Rajasthan Royals' contract for alleged violations of its terms and conditions on October 10.
