In further relief to former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, the High Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to him and his family members in two complaints relating to alleged irregularities in denotification of government lands.
Justice H Billappa allowed bail applications moved by Yeddyurappa, his two sons B Y Raghavendra, a Lok Sabha member and B Y Vijayendra and his son-in-law R N Sohan Kumar who had apprehended arrest in two private complaints filed against them in the Lokayukta special court.
While granting anticipatory bail, HC directed them to furnish Rs 2 lakh bond and two sureties for the like sum. Advocate Sirajin Bhasha had filed the complaints alleging denotification of land illegally by Yeddyurappa to favour his family members.
Yeddyurappa had earlier secured bail in two of the five private complaints regarding alleged illegal denotification of government lands.
