A two-judge divisional bench of the Gujarat High Court reserved its judgment on an application by Verghese Kurien, chairman, Institute of Rural Management - Anand, on Tuesday.

The bench of justice G S Singhvi and justice Ananad Dave may deliver the judgment on Thursday or after the summer vacation of the high court.

Meanwhile, the divisional bench has ordered to maintain the status quo on the stay order by justice Akil Kureshi, earlier who had directed Irma to reinstate K Prathap Reddy as a director.

The divisional bench has also ordered Irma to continue to provide facilities such as director bungalow, car, mobile phone and Internet connection to Reddy.

It may be recalled that Reddy was ordered to vacate the director's bungalow and surrender his car and mobile phone in a week's time from the issue of his termination order on April 7.

The vacation in the Gujarat high court is beginning from May 14, which will end on June 13. The divisional bench adjourned today with next hearing on Thursday. In view of the vacation in the high court and the sensitivity of the issue, both the sides requested the divisional bench to deliver an order before the summer vacation.

However, the divisional bench has not assured the judgment before the vacation.

The divisional bench has completed the hearing of arguments by the counsels of both Kurien and Reddy.

Kurien has pleaded for quashing the order by justice Kureshi reinstating Reddy as a director.

Justice Kuresh had stayed his own order following the plea by Kurien's counsels to approach the divisional bench last month.
