Helicopter overturns at Infosys Mysore campus

Five persons, including three directors of auto parts manufacturer Automotive Axle, had a narrow escape when the helicopter in which they were travelling overturned due to a technical snag at the Infosys helipad here today.

Baba Kalyani, chairman, Bharat Forge, who is also a director of Automotive Axle, Rakesh Sachdev and Lohri Dohal, directors of Automotive Axle, pilot Col Nehal and technician Devendra Sharma sustained minor injuries and were treated at a private hospital, police sources said today.

The directors were on their way to participate in a board meeting here when the incident occurred.

Automotive Axle had sought the permission of Infosys for landing the helicopter at the helipad located at their campus.
