US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her entourage were treated to traditional Bengali sweets 'katchagoollah' and 'sandesh' during the meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Writers' Building.

Hillary drank black coffee without sugar at the nearly hour-long meeting which took place at the conference room.

The chief minister, who was clad in her trademark blue bordered sari and chappals, gifted Clinton a kantha-stitch scarf, one of her own paintings and copies of Rabindranath Tagore's Gitanjali and Gitabitan.
