Yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust will soon have a sprawling yoga and ayurveda centre in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district.The state government has decided to lease out land to the Haridwar-based trust.
The state cabinet, approved leasing out of government land measuring 96 bighas at Mauja Kahlog in Solan district for development of an ayurveda herbal centre. The land will be leased out for 99 years. “The construction work on the proposed ayurveda herbal centre will start sometime this year,” said Chief Minister PK Dhumal. The trust will also purchase herbs from local farmers for making ayurvedic medicines at the new centre.
The state government has recently entered into an agreement with the yogpeeth trust whereby 700 tonnes of apple juice concentrate will be sold by the trust at outlets across the country.
