The Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday urged the Centre to extend the industrial package from 2010 to 2013, to enable the state make a transition from infancy to maturity. The demand was made by state Industries Minister Kishan Kapoor while addressing the industries ministers’ conference in New Delhi. “According to the Centre’s national figures, in industrial investment from 1991 to 2008 the share of Himachal stood at a paltry 0.54 per cent, which shows the state has not been able to attract investment,” Kapoor said.
