The committee of secretaries, set up to review central projects costing over Rs 100 crore, has said that the Namrup plant of Hindustan Fertiliser Corporation and the expansion of the Barauni Refinery of Indian Oil Corporation were likely to be delayed because of a delay in the supply of equipment from Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels (BHPV).

The committee has directed the fertiliser and petroleum ministries to consider making extra payments over and above the contractual amount to BHPV for quick supply of equipment.
