Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) is targeting to become a market leader in the luxury car segment by 2006-07. The company, which had a marketshare of 16 per cent last year in this segment, is planning to improve it to 20 per cent this year and attain about 35 per cent share in the next three years.
Car manufacturers in the country could sell 85,000 units in the luxury car category, which comes under the the D-segment. The size of the segment is expected to increase to one lakh cars this year.
