| One can approach the police to recover due payments, but what if somebody has to recover dues from the police department? A travel agent based in the city is facing such a situation. The bills of the travel agent, whose Qualis was hired by the police department in their operation to rescue two city boys from their abductors in August 2005, has not yet been paid. The agent has been running from pillar to post to recover his outstanding amount of Rs 23,000. The police department has said the amount has to be cleared by the district administration. "We have written a letter to the state government for sanctioning the due amount for the taxi driver," Dr. Shailendra Shrivastava, I. G. Police, said. He added that "though our department is not responsible for non-payment of this amount, we are making efforts at our level."
