HP cancels pact with Indage wineries

The Himachal Pradesh government on has cancelled the memorandum of understanding it signed with Himachal Indage Limited for setting up of wineries in Shimla and Mandi districts .

These wineries were to come up at Pragati Nagar and Nagwain by the Maharashtra based company but no work has taken place at these places for the past almost a decade , apparently due to the poor financial health of the company .

The state cabinet which met here under the chairmanship of chief minister P.K.Dhumal also decided to accept the bid of Ropeaway and Resorts Ltd Kolkata for building of the Palampur-Neugal ropeway project in the Kangra valley on BOT basis. It granted approval to changes in location, elevation of 17 small hydro power projects as per conditions laid down in the present power policy .

 

Approval has been granted to the amendment in fixation of circle rates for determining stamp duty and registration fee for sale and purchase of land in the state .

Permission has been granted to put nine mineral mines falling in the Neugal khad of Palampur in the Kangra valley to public auction .

Approval has been granted for the procurement of citrus fruits from November 21 to February 15 under market intervention scheme through 54 procurement centres.

Orange, Kinnow, Malta will be procured at Rs 5.85 per kg. HPMC , HIMFED and HP Agro Industries are the designated government agencies to procure the fruit.

Finally , doctors in the state have news to cheer about as the state government has enhanced the superannuation of faculty members of medical and dental colleges in the state medical education department from 58 to 62 years .
