Hry sees robust growth in tax collection

The revenue collections of Haryana’s excise and taxation department have shown a robust growth in the current fiscal year as compared to the previous year. Stating this here on Thursday, financial commissioner and principal secretary, excise and taxation department, said that even though there might be worldwide recession, there had been an unprecedented growth in revenue collections of the department this year. The revenue collections in the first eight months of the current year up to November, 2009 have been Rs 8526 crore as against Rs 7014 crore during the corresponding period last year.
