The Hyderabad Stock Exchange (HSE) has called for an EGM on April 4 to reduce the annual membership subscription to Rs 1,000 per annum from the current level of Rs 7,000. This was proposed in view of the dwindling turnover of the members on the exchange.
The decision to convene an EGM was taken following a representation made by 38 members on the issue. HSE increased the annual membership fee from Rs 2,500 to Rs 7,000 in 1995 as it was doing very good business volume during those days.
Subsequently, the business volume on HSE fell drastically with the present daily turnover hovering over Rs 15,000.
