BS Reporter Chandigarh
As a sequel to the roadshows organised by Haryana Government in Mumbai, Kolkatta and Chennai to attract investment in the State, Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has signed an MoU with Jaina Mobiles Industries for setting up of an Electronics Cluster in Industrial Model Township (IMT) Sohna, district Mewat, Haryana.

Disclosing this here today, Captain Abhimanyu, industries minister for Haryana, informed that the MoU has been signed by Sudhir Rajpal , IAS, managing director, HSIIDC and Pradeep Jain, managing director of M/s Jaina Mobiles Industries. This project would generate investment of over Rs.1,000 Crore and would also generate employment for up to 40,000 people.

He added that Haryana was organising road shows in various metro cities to generate high investments in the state. These road shows will be followed by the final event, 'Happening Haryana Global Investors' Summit-2016', being held in Gurgaon on March 7-8. All these events are to project Haryana as a preferred investment destination and attract both domestic and global investments. The objective of the main event is to bring together entrepreneurs and the government – specifically potential investors, decision makers, senior government officials and local business community – for a concrete dialogue on investment opportunities and business environment.

He further informed about IMT Sohna, an industrial township developed by HSIIDC on the Gurgaon-Nuh road over an area of about 1500 acres. The Corporation has already awarded the contract for infrastructure development works to M/s Larsen & Toubro Ltd and the development work had already begun.
