India has a tremendous capacity in the field of human resources and the country's sizeable younger population, which if provided the right skills and education, can bring about greater development in the country and abroad, said Sunil Kant Munjal, chairman, Hero Corporate Service Ltd.
Delivering the Foundation Day Lecture at the Xavier Institute of Management-Bhubaneswar (XIMB), he said, “Earlier there used to be a G-7 and now we have the G-20. Earlier India did not know how to negotiate well in the international forums. Now, we have learnt the art of negotiation. This is the reason why India is becoming a major force in the G-20 of nations.”
Referring to the emergence of India and China as economic superpowers, Munjal said, there is tremendous growth in both India and China as there is substantial space for both the Indian and Chinese economies to grow.
He pointed out that the next major market which would be the engine for development in the future would be Africa.
Munjal lauded XIMB for its commendable role in management education and urged the students to carry on the good work of the institute which focuses on academic excellence, personal values, social concern and responsibility along with ethical standards of work and life.
