Reducing the rate of incoming calls while roaming in western and southern India, Hutch has also provided 2,000 free SMS for all new post-paid subscribers for a period of two months and has reduced the national SMS charge to Re 1. |
Close on the heels of a similar scheme that Airtel offered for its post-paid subscribers in six circles of western India including Gujarat, Hutch's new tariff plans and SMS charges will be applicable for post-paid subscribers with effect from Monday. |
"The new features have been created specifically keeping in mind the customers' requirements for increased mobility and convenience at affordable rates," said a Hutch official. |
Incoming calls while roaming will now be charged at Rs 2.99 per minute in western and southern India and will be applicable for subscribers of Hutch in Gujarat, along with subscribers of Orange, Idea and BPL from Maharashtra and Goa, Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh roaming within these networks. |
The new subscribers who avail of Hutch post-paid services will get 2,000 local GSM SMS free, which will be required to be used in a period of two months, a company statement said. |
In addition, national SMS will be charged at the rate of Re one per message with effect from December 15. |
