Hyd intl airport to start ops from Mar 23

The ministry of civil aviation has given the green signal to GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL), which has developed the greenfield Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad, to start commercial operations from March 23.

GHIAL has earlier announced that the new facility would commence commercial operations from March 16.

After the inauguration of the airport on March 14,  GHIAL had been asked, at the last minute, to postpone the start of operations.
