I-A to fly Nagpur-Bangkok from April 15

Indian Airlines (I-A) will operate its first international flight from Nagpur
airport on April 15 to Bangkok. The twice-a-week flight will be operated on Friday and Tuesday, sources said.

Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel had announced plans to connect Nagpur with Bangkok a fortnight ago.

Indian Airlines has confirmed that flight IC 736 will leave Nagpur on April 15 at 10.10 am. I J K Dhas, station manager of Indian Airlines, was upbeat about the new flight. "We expect the flight to do very well. Summer holidays are just round the corner," he said.

Indian Airlines will be operating a 145-seater, Airbus 320 in the sector. The aircraft will reach here from Hyderabad as IC 735 at 9.20 am, and leave for Bangkok as IC 736 at 10.10 am.

The Nagpur-Bangkok return fare has been pegged at Rs 10,500/- plus taxes. Indian Airlines is expected to offer discounts at the initial stage.
