Indian Airlines on Sunday said it would set up an engineering base for its Airbus A-320 aircraft in Mumbai. |
The airline said it had received the approval of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation on February 12, to establish the unit to undertake major maintenance and repair work of the aircraft. |
The state-owned airline has inducted 11 more Airbus A-320 aircraft on lease and plans to induct four more by June. |
The Mumbai base, to be located at the new engineering complex at Sahar, Mumbai, would undertake engineering work of the A320 aircraft fitted with IAE V2500 engines, an IA release said. |
