Indian Airlines (IA) today decided to dry-lease 12 wide-bodied aircraft between October and March 2006 to launch services to new international routes and augment services in the existing routes. The IA board, which had last September decided to lease six wide-bodied planes along with three more to replace existing A-300 B4 aircraft, today approved a proposal to increase the number by three planes, officials said after the board meeting today. "With the 12 additional aircraft, IA's fleet strength would go up to 77," they added. |
