Idfc Plans More Joint Ventures With States

The Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC) is planning to form more joint venture companies in association with state governments to promote and develop infrastructure projects in states.

The public-private partnership that is envisaged will be on the lines of iDeCK (Infrastructure Development Corporation of Karnataka) and U-iDeC (Uttaranchal Infrastructure Development Corporation).

Recently, IDFC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tamil Nadu (TN) to leverage their complementary strengths through an institutional alternative. It is also on the verge of signing a MoU with Kerala.
