IIT student wins contest

Abishek Kumarasubramanian from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, has won the 'Code4Bill' contest.
 
He will now work directly with Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates' team of technical assistants at Redmond, in the US for a period of one year.
 
Abishek was selected after seven months of rigorous competition under the Code4Bill initiative, which was announced by Bill Gates during his last visit to India in Dec 2005.
 
Over 20,000 students had registered for the contest which included three online technical challenges and two rounds of one-to-one interviews.
