Other measures announced in the new Exim policy include reduction in the value-addition norms for export of plain jewellery from 10 per cent to 7 per cent. Exports of all mechanised unstudded jewellery have also been permitted at a value addition of 3 per cent only.
In addition to the four metros, personal carriage of jewellery has been extended to the Hyderabad and Jaipur airports as well.
