Increase in oil price unacceptable: Left

Even as the government is seized with the ticklish issue of oil price hike, the CPI(M) has upped the ante, saying "it is simply unacceptable".
 
Besides, the party has expressed serious reservation about the Cabinet's decision to join the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) pipeline project.
 
Ahead of the UPA-Left coordination committee meeting on Tuesday, the UPA ally has reiterated its stance that under-recoveries of the oil companies are not actual losses and the government should rather forgo its revenue gains from oil sector to offset the rise in international crude oil prices.
