Ind corridor proposed in K-G basin districts

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has proposed an industrial corridor in the Krishna-Godavari (K-G) basin districts. It would lead a delegation to chief minister, N Kiran Kumar Reddy, in this regard soon, said AP chapter chairman, Jay Galla.

He was speaking at the Vijayawada zone meeting of the CII, which covers West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts.

Galla, who is also managing director of Amara Raja Batteries, said the CII had conducted a survey in the KGPG (Krishna, Godavari, Prakasam and Guntur) region and identified the areas to be developed as industrial corridors. The four districts had potential base for industrial growth mainly agriculture and marine-based industries.
