India has been ranked second among 37 countries in entrepreneurial activity for the year 2002, according to a study released today by the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
The countries have been ranked on a total entrepreneurial activity (TEA) index in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, 2002. Thailand tops the list with a TEA index of 18.9 per cent, while India is next with an index of 17.88 per cent.
Chile is third with a score of 15.2 per cent, Korea fourth with 14.9 per cent and Argentina fifth with 14.8 per cent. India ranked higher than China, the US, Israel, Singapore, the UK and Germany.
