The bilateral trade between India and China in the first five months of 2011 rose 24 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2010.
Penng Gang, Economic and Commercial Counselor, Chinese Embassy in India, said the bilateral trade between the two countries in the last five months has been registered at $23.5 billion. Last year, bilateral trade between the two countries was registered at $61.7 billion, with trade balance in favour of China.
Penng Gang was here to participate in a seminar organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry at Northern Region Headquarters, on Saturday. Bilateral trade between both the countries is expected to touch $100 billion by 2015.
