India has said that the fourth ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organisation scheduled to be held in Doha in November this year should be devoted to confidence building and consolidation.
In a statement at the general council of the WTO on Monday, commerce secretary Prabir Sengupta said that the agenda for the meeting should not be overloaded and urged trading partners not to impose an agenda, the burden of which cannot be borne by developing countries.
India has said that the agenda for the ministerial meeting should be based on consensus among members countries.
India has stressed on finding a solution to implementation issues is the highest priority for India.
