The third edition of India Gadgetz Expo (IGE), a mega consumer tech event, began here on Friday with participation of more than 200 brands and 60 hardware startups supported by the Karnataka government.
Founded as an initiative to promote innovation and showcase futuristic technologies, IGE is a prime consumer tech event in India with participation and attendance from Indian and global brands and startups, organisers said.
The event is hosting established industry leaders and hardware startups supported by the government of Karnataka and the general public.
In his speech at the event, Karnataka Labour Minister Santosh Laad spoke about the importance of tech innovations and the emergence of tech startups and the role they play in the development of the economy.
Laad said that the State government strongly promotes startups and technological expertise and the IGE offers an excellent platform for future innovations and investments in the industry and improves everyone's daily lives.
More than 200 brands are showcasing their latest technological innovations, unveiling new products and speaking about their involvement in the consumer tech space, the organisers said in a release.

More than 60 hardware startups supported by the Karnataka Government are taking part in the show.
The hardware startups have been selected by Revvx Hardware Accelerator. They belong to various industries such as Robotics, Automation, Electric Vehicles, Drone Manufacturers and more.
Eleven panel discussions are scheduled in the 3-day event, with participation from more than 50 industry leaders who will be sharing their experiences, data points and opinions, the release said.
