India Inc's confidence in the political system has gone up in the third quarter, albeit marginally, a National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) report has said.

The political confidence index (PCI), calculated on eight different indicators, rose by 0.9 per cent during October-December, 2005 over the previous quarter, the NCAER said in its quarterly review.

It stood at 110.1 points in the third quarter of this fiscal from 109.2 in July-September 2005, according to the report that measured corporates' perception of the government.

The corporates have lauded the UPA government for its ability to manage economic growth and push reforms.
