India: Still hot for fdi but with new hurdles

India's traditional strengths in attracting foreign investment remain, but corporate taxation and inflexible labour laws weigh on the negative side, EY's India Attractiveness Survey 2014 shows. The survey polled 502 global executives, of which a majority said they will increase their presence in India. But 32 per cent said they were not planning to invest in India, as against 16 per cent in a 2012 attractiveness survey.
