"We should have a co-sharing of technology agreement between the two countries. It is for the Indian and Finnish companies to find out where they can contribute to each other," Kumar, who is on a visit to Finland to attend the Global Innovation Summit said.

The Summit is being organised by CII in collaboration with Finnish Trade Promotion Organisation Finpro, with a view to develop technological collaboration and business contacts between the two countries.

Kumar met former Finland Prime Minister and the head of Finnish Innovation Fund Esko Eho in Helsinki to discuss possible areas of partnership in energy, communication and IT.

He also complimented Eho on the successful India programme implemented by the Innovation Fund 'SITRA'.

An Indian delegation representing Indian companies is also visiting some of the most innovative Finnish companies to learn from their experiences as also to explore possibilities of business collaboration.

The India programme implemented by the SITRA has provided the Finnish public with information about India and presented Finnish expertise to India over the last three years, resulting in increased Finnish media interest in India, a statement from the Fund said.

Finnish Innovation Fund is an independent public fund which works under the supervision of Finnish Parliament in the field of social welfare.
