Indian shopping fest in Malaysia

The Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO), Malaysia, through its Hyderabad-based authorised agent "� SKAB Impex "� is organising 'Global Indian Shopping Festival 2004' at Kaula Lumpur in Malaysia from April 7-11, said a press release. The five-day fair is supported by the Indian High Commission in Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia.

"The purpose of the expo is to take Indian products within the reach of people of Indian origin living abroad. The expo also aims at providing a platform and an exposure to Indian products like handicrafts, textiles, jewellery, spices and condiments, leather items, packed foods, jute items, toys, beauty and herbal products, office equipment, footwear, paintings, garments and IT products," said Anil Bhardwaj of SKAM Impex.

"More than 100 Indian products are expected to be showcased in the shopping festival," the press release added.
