The Indian Steel Alliance, working under the aegis of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has initiated talks with the Chinese government and steel companies in China to increase trade between the two countries.

An agreement is likely to be signed by India and China to promote bilateral trade and mutual understanding to boost steel trade between the two countries.

Keeping in mind that China will be the most lucrative market for India in the next few months, a letter has already been sent by the Indian Steel Alliance to the Chinese economic and commercial councillor, urging the Chinese authorities to improve trade relations between the two countries and open a regular channel of communication.
