A prominent Indian student's body in Australia is organising a 'Thanks Giving Day' for the Australian community who have supported the fight against recent racial attacks on Indians in the country.
"We will be distributing sweets and a thank you note to the Australians who have come in support of FISA," Federation of Indian Students Association founder Gautam Gupta told PTI today.
The event will be organised tomorrow at Flinders Street station which is busiest station of Melbourne at the peak office time in the morning between 7.30 am to 8.30 am, he said.
It is for those who have come in our support to fight against such attacks, he said adding many Australians have shown solidarity for the cause.
The event will be managed by around 40 FISA and related associations volunteers who will wear a T-shirt that will say 'An eye for eye will make the whole world blind', Gupta said.
Volunteers will distribute Indian sweets at the venue, which was blocked by agitated Indian students last month who were protesting against series of attacks on students.
