Indonesia's Salim Group said that there were many opportunities in West Bengal and the delegation would have to explore as to how they were going proceed.

The Indonesian delegation comprising the diverse conglomerate Salim Group and one of the largest township developers Ciputra group met several ministers in the state over the last two days. The team also visited Rajarhat for studying prospects of developing a township.

Addressing members of Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) at an interactive session, Salim director Henry Halim, this was a virgin visit to West Bengal and the opportunities in the state extended beyond food processing.

It may be mentioned that chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya in his meeting with the delegation mooted investment for the food processing and agri-business sectors.
